This series of four weekly workshops, run by a professional TV writer, will help you structure the ideas you have into
an irresistible concept that can power multiple episodes.
The number of TV series on our screens has exploded over the last 15-20 years. Following the "golden age" of television (with the advent of high-quality shows like THE SOPRANOS and MAD MEN), streaming services ushered in an era of "peak TV" characterised by big-budget series.
The TV Series Market is Changing
The appetite for serialized stories continues, although the market is rapidly changing.
YouTube is now the number one streaming service on TV.
Verticals (or micro dramas viewed on dedicated apps or social media), are gaining in popularity.
Big-name content creators are being approached by studios rather than the other way around.
There's a lot of uncertainty long-term as to what this might all mean. But if you've always dreamt of creating your own fictional series, even if it's just something you want to film low-budget on your phone, there's one thing you definitely cannot skimp on.

About Your Teacher
Taught by Kristina Jilly, professional writer and screenwriter with over ten years of experience. She has worked extensively with HBO Europe, RTL Television as well as producers and directors in the UK and Europe as a creator, writer, story editor and story consultant. She has a BA from Melbourne University, an MA from the University of London and currently teaches at the University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria.
